Now the guberment knows what guns you have from what you reload. I'm sure they keep a list of what you have from monitoring sites such as this. I'd like to say but I'm uneasy considering the election results. The danged guberment has it's perverbial nose stuck where it doesn't belong. BC

I belong to another group where the language is somewhat salty. Periodically, I post a monologue stating EXACTLY what I think of the NSA monitoring. Trust me, if they were going to pounce, I'd be first in line! I'll let you know when they show up at the front door. Yes they listen. So what? The Internet is a public media.

Rest easy. Our govt can't even balance its own checkbook. Enjoy your day, your friends on CastBoolits and your shooting sports activities. Respectfully said, life is too short to worry about such things.

    OP.....
I have 11 Dillon RL550 tool heads set up and have other calibers like 30-30, 32 S&W long, 7.62x39, 7.62x54R, .303 British and a few others that I leave for the single stage Rock Chucker. In all, it's about 20 calibers.

The .41 special is very interesting, I've heard of a couple custom guns chambered in it, but seems the factory guns are all of the magnum cylinder length

I've never seen a 41 special but I have a nice pretty box of new 41 special brass with starline headstamps iirc.

Hear, hear. I once worked for The Government. Rest assured, .gov can't plan a retirement party for a clerical worker without private sector assistance. Unless you're a life-long crook, the government is a STUPID thing to live in fear of. Even then, the odds favor the crook several times over. The Bilderbergers, the Stealth Staters, and the rest of the conspiracy theorists "out there" are entertaining--in a Village Voice or grocery store tabloid/UFO sighting sort of way--but give it a freakin' rest, already.

Yeah it's really interesting no one made the .41 Special, as from what I've seen it is every bit as accurate as the .38 and .44 special.

I think the lack of a 41 special probably comes from it wasn't "Magnumatized" from a 41 special into a 41 magnum. The 41 magnum came first. Between that and the "small" following the 41 magnum has in comparison with the 357 and 44 mags, it's a small market that would want a 41 special.

Instead of counting the dies I own, I decide to count the various types of brass I have available. I think it's a more accurate reflection of what I actually have reloaded verses what I am capable of. The number stands @ 22!!

Hobby life was simpler when there were fewer calibers to ride herd on--but what kinda fun izzat? Over the past year, I've deleted 3 chamberings--re-started with another that was idle for 12 years or so, and taken on one new one (38-55). I've also narrowed down the load variations within given calibers quite a bit, which simplifies things to some degree. Still, over 30 chamberings call my garage "home".
