"New" Herters Military Crimp Swage Die

I just received from ebay a new but directions not included crimp swage die from Herters. It seems pretty straight forward, but am not really quite sure on the exact seating in the press relative to the die.

    1. Does anyone have a set of instructions they can scan and email.
    2. Any suggestions on its use.

While we are at it. Once a primer pocket with crimp has been swaged, is it supposed to total remove the crimp ring or just expand the primer pocket to normal dimensions? The various ways that I have tried swaging, including the hand swagers from lyman etc, the ring still exists after the swage.

the CRIMP is metal moved in over/around the installed primer.

the visible RING is just a mark made but the tool used to create the CRIMP.

you goal is to open the leading edge of the primer pocket so you can install new primers.

this often does not remove the tool marks of the original crimp.

swagers do not remove metal, just push it away from the entrance of the primer pocket. it typically will not remove the RING(TOOL MARK).
    only accurate rifles are interesting

I have one that I have used since Hereters made them. Set them up to stop when it will not go in no more. Lock the set screw down and it it will be the same ever time you put it back in Then I chamfer the top of the pocket for corner break with a broken end of a center drill. Joe
