    "Beagling" Bullet mold

I have a Paul Jones mold I had made for my Austin Halleck .50 cal inline M/L it is 500gr FN that cast a .500" bullet with near pure lead( a little tin added). This bullet is exactly bore dia. I want to make the bullet .002 larger so it engages the rifling and stays put while hunting. This bullet shoots amazingly well with 80grs. of Swiss 1.5 but is just a bit to loose for hunting.
What is the best way to get the bullet bigger, should I send the mold back to P.J and ask if he could enlarge it? Is "lapping" a viable option?

"Beagleing" is the act of placing aluminum tape on the mold so that it doesn't close as far as previously increasing the molds diameter.
I've never cast with a Jones mold but if it is accurate, and doesn't move from the powder charge I'd leave it alone. I would lap a commonly available $40 mold if needed but would return a custom mold that was undersized from the specs I ordered it at. With my muzzle loader an extremely tight fit is not always best for a second shot. Share some more info and maybe others can help/.

There is no "fit" to the bullet as it is bore dia.I need the bullet to lightly engage the rifling like all of my M/L projectiles do.Subsequent loadings are no problem with big lube grooves and a lubed felt wad, fouling will stay soft for 3-5 shots before needing wiped and it becomes difficult to load.I think I will give P.J a call and see if he will enlarge it.
    Thanks "MT Gianni"
