I do a lot of wood carving and I am eternally looking for a stone that grabs the steel just right so that cutting is faster and the angle is easier to maintain. The arkansas stone will do this. They do indeed bowed out significantly after a lot of use. How ever I am used to grinding out the dips with a flattening stone used for my japanese waterstone.

    DEADBEAT - RIVERWALKER76 - FS: Flint & Sharpening Stones ...

Times are getting tough around here, so I need to sell as much of this stuff as I can. I found out last week that my office is shutting down as of this Wednesday, and I will be left without work for awhile.

PM me or post in this thread if interested. All of my wares are of top quality as some of you can attest to.

I have a whole lot of Kentucky Flint that I'm selling for flintlock flints, firestarters, etc....

    Flint:

$15 shipped for a Small Flat Rate Box of large flakes
    -or-
$35 shipped for a Large Flat Rate Box of flint nodules

Also, I made up more of the Mountain Man Sharpening Stones that so many of you ordered last week. All orders that I received by Thursday have been filled, and I now have more made up.

    Novaculite Sharpening Stones:

    $15 shipped for a med. stone (roughly 4" X 6")

    $25 shipped for a large stone (upwards from 6" X 8")

Thanks for the look, and to previous buyers.

I lost track of this thread, did you ever get a picture of the sharpening stones?
