As a kid off the dary farm in Aitkin Co , it was the tirdy tirdy. I can see if on top of a mine dump, you might need a little more gun.

No I don't think so. Maybe at times a little extra Kentucky windage may be require while perched up top on one of those Iron Ore dumps. But for the most part the 300 is more than adequate for its intended purpose.I can see if on top of a mine dump, you might need a little more gun.
Not trying to classy at all. I consider anyone from the Mesabi Range area >Rangers<Trying to be classy OverMax? You know it's ''Da Range''.
Read an article the other day about Marlin specs for 45-70 being .4588 grove dia as the cause of poor accuracy in microgroove for high vel loads. .459 sizing die in the works very soon.
which lever gun? i voted savage 99 out of loyalty but reall my favorite is the one thats in my hand at any one moment in time to make a memory. and brother will a lever gun make memories. i cherish my winnie 94 375 and adore my rossi 454 casull. my 1873 in 32wcf makes me giggle like a kid when i shoot it with 4g's of unique. my marlin 95 in 45-70 is my go to elk gun ( 3 notches if i where to notch((shudder)). my 9410 gets the grouse for thanksgiving and i just drool over th commemrative 1894-1994 grade 1 my wife presented me on our 40th. guess i'll keep her( the 94 and my wife lol) I guess i just have a love affair with levers and have for 55 years or so.
I voted Uberti because I truly love my Spaghetti '73. I bought it about 10 years ago and have fed it mostly Black Hills factory cowboy loads (45 Colt) and that thing is just dead on accurate. I'm also really fond of my Henry Golden Boy too.
Winchester gets my vote!
3x '94, 1x 88. My latest purchase was a Winchester '92 copy- Chiappa 92 in .45LC
Marlin in .35 remington. Hits hard, packs light, takes the same boolits as my .38 and .357. Life is good.
my lever action 30-30 is a old mossberg and the trigger moves with the lever.
do lever actuated martinis count?
give me a tall ship and a star to steer her by for i intend to go in harms way
had to decide between my Marlins and Savages or Winchesters but had to go with the Savages just by sheer # that i have
Can't decide, three marlins levers .22, two 94's .44, .45. Three Winchesters pre '64 30-30, 94ae .375, and 94ae 444 timber carbine
i have an old marlin in 45/70 i grew up with and inherited from my father. i'll pass it down to my nefew here in a few years. there is not enough money in the world for me to sell it. if ihad a fire not sure if i would save it orthe wife first :-/
And this too, shall pass away.

The import is beating out the local product, but I'm still buying American. This pretty much covers my bases including high weirdness.
got a 16" win 94 in 32ws, 1899 savages in 22 hi-power, 303, and 32-40, a marlin 1894cl in 32-20, a pair of 336-a's in 32ws and 35 rem--and no 30-30's. seems to me i'm still lever-poor! i'm up fer tradin', though; anybody got any old, hard-to-load-for, obsolete-caliber, cranky, beat-up leverguns they wanta trade fer a nice mauser?
mind yer topknots!

It's my latest oddity. Smiths I've talked to say the threads are wildly differant. It does function and fire great. I'd like to know if this was common practice at one time. Whoever did this work did a very neat job. Anyway, it covers my top vote with the pre 81 BLR following closely (if only it were built in the USA).
Hey guys;
I got Marlins in 45 Colt and 22 LR and a Winchester Model 94 in 30-30. I love these kinda guns. Makes it a little hard to vote for just one model.

Marlin 1894 for pistol caliber and Savage 99 for rifle caliber. One day I will buy one in 250-3000.

Well I have loved my Rossi M92 in 45 Colt so much and going hunting in the North West later this year with my son I picked up a Rossi Rio Grande in 45-70 Gov. That gun had a better fit and finish than my M92 out of the box and about the same price too. I'm now working up some varmint loads and loads for various size thing from deer up.
2 x levers . .. . a Rossi that shoots anything and a fussy winnie trapper that only likes one bullet - love em both . . . cheers
Marlin. Got a nice, clean, 1963 Win 94 when I was 15. When my eyes changed @ 45 and I needed a scope I got a 336. Wish I done that when I was 16. Favorite is a 30-30 beater Texan I had to 'restore'.
