    Remington 580 Trigger Assembly

I own a 580, SS 22 cal RF, Seems to be pretty accurate but trigger pull leaves some thing to desire.. Anyone out there had any experience removing one? The trigger spring is long and they've completely buried it. Tnx Carl

It is easy to get out. There is one cross pin holding it to the action--it is that top one in the middle. The spring you want is verticle and in the back of the housing. You can only do so much replacing that and if you get it light it will jar-off. There is a guy in Texas who builds bench rest rifles and knives. Mike Bryant I think. He will modify that to have multiple adjustment screws for a reasonable amount. Or you can buy a Timney.
