    French MAS 36 w/cast bullets

Ok, wanted to try my pre war MAS 36 with cast bullets and I just shot 20 rds of 311291 cast bullets sized at .311 with the standard 16 grs of 2400 powder.
Fired 2 groups of 8 and 9 rds each at 50 yrs. Three rds were fired to adjust the sights and they were a tight group also.
I will say the rifle and load shoot better then I can with my old eyes. In both cases the first 5 rds were well under an inch but the last few rds opened up the group a bit probably me not the rifle and loads. Also the trigger pull is quite hard.
Still not bad 8 & 9 groups for cast bullets. Disregard the 22 holes as my buddy was shooting a 22 pistol at one of the other targets below mine but scathered his rds on my target. Ray
