MiHec, I was looking and trying to remember if I got one of these....??

If I overlooked this mold, and you happen to have a spare, please send me an invoice and I will take it.

    Thanks, fermin

    Get ready, here they come....

My 434-423 just arrived a few moments ago; the package was really beat up,
but because the blocks are zip tied together , there was no damage to the mould.

The blocks fit very tightly, pins also, and inspected with a 16x jewelers loupe
everything looks very nice and very well done,- hoping to cast some tomorrow.

12 days from pay to play....
    Thank you Miha!

Both of mine arrived this morning ! It took seven days from Slovenia to southern California ! It takes the same seven days for my Priority Mail packages to get to Indiana !

Boxes were in great conditions. Very heavy due to the two pounds of BEAUTIFUL stamps on outside ! Moulds look VERY nice as usual ! Cast tomorrow !

    Thank You MiHa !

My mold was waiting for me when I got home last night so rather than cast 45's as planned I cast some of these. I put in one of the 5 sided pins and one of the round pins so I could try out both types of hollow points.

When they cooled down a few hours later I weighed them and to my amazement they both weigh 188.5 grains. By looking at them I would have thought the 5 sided hollow points would be heavier. And they are exactly .432. These were cast out of pure new wheel weights.

This mold is an incredible piece of work, Mihec does amazing work.

Sorry for the poor picture quality.

I'll never buy another Lyamn mold again, Mihec and a few select others are getting my business from now on.

I heated the lead pot today. If Mihec keeps making better mold each time he has a production run. Soon he will not be able to do anything to his moulds to make them better.
After initial warm up i cast 408 bullets. Of those 367 had no visible flaws, 6 were culls from finning, 6 had rounded bases, 29 had miner wrinkling but are usable for load experimentation.
All bullets dropped easily without using any spruelube on the pins.
I did have to cast at a higher temp. than i normally cast at. Even then i couldn't overheat to a frosty bullet. All bullets came out slightly dull shinny ( I know its an oxymoron)
The only fly in the ointment was 1 of the alignment pins will have to be recessed a little. But if that is the worst i could say about a new mould. I should shut up an cast some more.
I also did some experimental casting with my new NOE 7 mm Hunter. It is just as good as this mould from Mihec.

Finally got home and sent payment in for this mould. Thanks for holding it for me. This is the only request for payment I have. Let me know if there are any others.

Heated mine up, my pins really liked the bullet and wanted to hang on tight. I could lube the pins more than I felt they needed and it would drop 2 or 3 before they stuck again. I would have to twist them with plyers to get them off.
I cooled the set up and searched for the burr. There was a very light ridge on the metplant part of the pin. That I think is the trouble. I CAREFULLY filed the hang nails , then buffed them up with my final polish wheel, and then sprayed them with franksford mold release graphite. basicly what someone would expect from a fresh machined part. and hopefully it just needed a little love.
They are heating up now , and I will report back.

Well I ran 60 or so with very little sticking round pins only. it needs some more break in but it looks good.
the mold is hard to heat up, i will try 775-800 and a faster pace tomorrow. After I get used to this mold and get it broke in, it should be just what the DR ordered...Buck
