The pressure of the tool on the base can't be any worse than a semi-auto bolt slamming a round into a chamber.

I have had one of these dies for about 2 years. I bought it to improve the lethality of the 22 when hunting. I have not noticed any large improvements in accuracy. It seems that what a gun shoots well, it will continue to shoot well with the modified ammo. Unmodified rounds that it doesn't shoot well is sometimes improved.

It is very well made, but don't purchase it to try and turn bulk plinkers into target rounds. You will probably be disappointed. It is excellent for my intended use, however.

One of my favorite things to use it for is on subsonic rounds for hunting. This tool let's you put on a much larger hollowpoint to increase the rounds effectiveness at the lower velocity. The tool also works well on 22 short ammo.

I've got one ordered to make HP subs. As long as accuracy doesn't get worse I'll be happy.

No, it won't make Thunderduds into target ammo, but when I evaluated the whole scheme using a stock-barreled 10-22 a couple summers ago it did cut group sizes by about 20%. Weight sorting did another 20%. On Thunderduds. Did much the same for CCI Minimags, which proved to be the best ammo for that thing. It made Wolf Match worse, not only in the 10/22 but also in my Ballard target rifle.
