    Do you sit or stand?

    Sounds a bit of a silly question but every reloading bench I've made in the past has been above waist high so I always stood at all the press locations. Well, I'm older now and standing all that time is not putting me in the best of moods.

    I'm considering cutting down the bench and finding a comfortable desk chair...

    So how do you do it? Sitting or standing?

    Thanks...

    I always stand, tried sitting, it just didn't work for me, neither did getting a crick in the neck because the bench was low and my head was always bent down so I built this bench. It's 45" tall.

    Sit to pour, stand to shake out the boolits when casting(Over and over)

    Sit in a wheelie chair to reload my ammo. I never stand for that...forget it...

    I do both. I have a small portable stand for the press work but I stand to charge the brass with powder. I stand to cast also.

    Stand 90% of the time, I use a stool if I'm using the Lyman 4500 or 450, I use a tall stool if I'm sorting brass or such not using a press. Been doing it that way for 50+ years.

    Never stand when you can sit;
    Never sit when you can lay down;

    My bench is a really heavy desk with a 2 inch thick maple plank top to bolt the presses to so I sit in a roll around office chair, worked for me for 50 years.

    Sit for the Rockchucker , stand for the Dillion 550. Same bench. There are cheap folding stools for high benches. Standing lets me see into pistol cases with the Dillion. Am going to try a stool next time I use the 550. Old legs and a bad back doesn't like to stand for long periods .

    With knees like mine, you sit! Finding a stool of the right height will be a lot easier than cutting down the bench.

    I stand but as I get a little older I'm going to rearrange things so I can sit.

    I'm 6'6" and built my bench tall but also have a tall stool that I kind of sit/stand/lean while reloading. Have a separate benck for casting is pretty much a stand proposition.

    Sit when reloading, although I need to find a more comfortable chair or stool with a firm back.

    Stand when casting......I had an unfortunate experience years ago with a lead spash that landed in my lap. Fortunately I was wearing a shop apron at the time.

    Both. I use a tall drafting chair so I can stand and sit and not have to adjust anything.

    If I get tired I just sit down and do other things! Life is too short, especially for a retired guy.
