best place to find rare/unpopular brass?

    namely .35 rem.

    been looking all over.

there's no ammo locally, and i cant find brass anywhere.

is there another cartridge i can form into .35 rem cases?

If you think that's bad, try finding .32 Remingtons, or .303 Savages.

Do a search here for ".35 remington". Many pages will come up, but if you go to April 8, 2008, you'll find my post detailing the conversion of .308 Winchester cases into .35 Remingtons.

It works, and the brass seems to last pretty well....I have yet to lose any cases from firing, although I think the majority have only been fired three or four times. Some will think it's too much work, but it's really not at all bad. If .35 brass is unavailable, as it often is, or one has more time than money, or an inexpensive source of .308 brass.....why not?

Note that I used commercial .308 cases, not military 7.62 NATO brass. Several people on that thread commented on possible problems with the military stuff, so it's worth reading the whole thread.

A member here posted an easy way to form the .303 savage: A 40 S&W case cut ahead of the case web....... take that ring (can't remember the height of the ring) and place over a 30-30 case to the case head and fire in the 303 Savage chamber.

    Troy,
A friend just gave me a bucnh of stuff he got when his grandfather died. Part of it is some 35 Remington loads.

Acording to the paper with them they were loaded in 1953 with duplex load.

If you want the I can tear them down and paut in a FRB. There are 34 rounds.

The brass will need to be cleaned. What do you have to trade?

If you cover a FRB I will send them to you.

Pulled a boolit from one today. They are a duplex load.

Try Chestnutridge, they usually have .358 Win and .35 Rem in stock, plus $5.00 shipping per order.
