    Mixed Blessings

I just got back from Instructors Re-Cert. This is usually an interesting class and the up side is you get to shoot for free. The down side this time was that it was 95 degrees and no shade and six hours of banging away in a bullet proof vest, or standing in the sun waiting to do so. In addition they upped the ante to 500 rounds in a little less than 6 hours. I'm tired and ragged out and my wrist and arm are sore from all the recoil. But I did qualify 1 point under max and learned some interesting new techniques. I did bring home a box of brass, but since it isn't sorted yet I don't know what I have. Last time I shot next to the only guy on the range with a 357 SIG and I ended up with about 350 of those usless things. I'm hoping for 9 mm and 45 acp.

If you end up with extra 40 S&W brass , I am always looking for more .
    Trade or $$

I use 357 Sig and 40 S&W brass that is past it's prime to load pinking loads in the 44 Spec or 44 mag
I load them base up and a light charge of 231 .

While the brass is a few thou small it works fine for plinking .

This makes a low recoil , close range paper punching round for ladies or kids
I crimp lightly into the extractor grove , for a 44 brass wad cutter look

I did put a 380 case full of lead into some 357 Sig cases .
Never got around to loading them .
