Thread: Anyone using Lyman 311644

    I have not been able to get the Lyman 311644 with the undersize nose to shoot much better then 2" out of a 30-30 singleshot rifle. On the other hand my best bullet mould I have is the SAECO #315, here is the best 5 shot groups at 100 and 300 yards.

    waco, that is the way the the bullet was designed by a cast bullet bench-rest shooter.

    I had the Lyman catalog that showed it with the shallow grease groove on the nose, then they changed it to the new style without the groove.
