    Lube Question

I was pan lubing some boolits on the fireplace insert using Barry Darr's recipe. Question how do I get it out of the carpet. I really need to know before 3:00 PM EST.

I am yet trying to figure out why they call you "Lucky".
I would try ice to get it hard enough to break out of the carpet.
    Good Luck,

Maybe some ice? Or dry ice? Get the lube cold enough to break? I certainly would not try a solvent; the rug would just absorb the thinned lube.

My SWMBO is over my shoulder and she advises that answer #8 by bigboredad is the correct one as she has done the same where I have had similar things go wrong. Later David

Well, MY bride was standing over my shoulder and she advised that answer #4 was the correct one:

Pack light and get a good headstart driving!

And Joe? Both Mrs. Recluse and myself agree that you should consider changing your name.

From working at the Dewaxing/Deoiling unit at a Sunoco oil refinery I can tell you the solvent for paraffin is MEK which you can buy at the hardware store or Lowes. What I don't know is if it will take the dye out of your carpet and it really stinks too.

... or you could practice saying, "Honey, I've been thinking. Wouldn't a new carpet look good in our family room?"

Train the dog to lie there and not move. Try crazy glue.
