got mine yesterday. Does anyone else have pins that are very tight, so tight the mold wobbles when I close it. Gonna clean em real good and hope they work out.

    About tight pins:

    - look for any sharp edge on the end of the pins
    - look for the sharp edge on the holes where pins are sliding
    - preheat the mold on hot plate
    - lube the pins
    - give them few dry runs
    - do this several time (they will seat / break in - in most cases)

    other posibilities:

    - pins are twisted (you can untwist them with your fingers - do not be too strong)
    - some dirt is in the holes
    - If the mold wobbles on the pins - slightly tap on the mold and then check your pins - you should see on which point pins are tight (there will be slight mark from brass)

My mold was a little tight when new. I lubed it with the sample stuff, and pre-heated the mold, as suggested.

As time went on, the pins freed up a bit, and the mold operates perfectly.

Just my opinion, but I would rather have a mold that is such good precision, and very tight at beginning of it's life. That means that as it wears, it will just become "normal" instead of too loose.

I am very impressed with the quality and workmanship of this mold. As I used it to make 20 pounds of bullets ( a LOT of bullets!), I kept seeing features and details that I hadn't noticed before. Like the trough between the two sprue cut holes, so that the overpour will join as one. Nice touch! Well thought out!

Just received mine today and have to say Miha , you seem to get a little better with each mold you produce !
This one looks beautiful in the machine work and finish , the top off is the one vent line following the mold pattern in the face , excellent .
Compared to my .402 , the finish inside the cavity is smoother also.
As I walked in the house with the package under my arm , my wife asks ....for me ? (oh , oh !)
Sorry honey , just some more of those Slovenien Hand Tools !!!.....
If she only knew how much my subscription to that Slovenein newspaper cost ....oops !

When I checked the mail mine was in the box. The package was beat to hell, but the mold was packed very well and looks fabulous.

    Thanks Miha!
