A fellow bullet caster and good friend gave me a German Model 88 Commission rifle in a commercial sporting configuration last fall that he had no interest in and had never fired. I am presently preparing some cast loads for it and the this rifle will happily lose its "unfired by me" status! The rifle is in quite good shape with a beautiful bore-should be fun!

I have never owned a firearm and if I did, on a public forum it’s nobody’s business

That's a Valmet 412. Lots of glare in that photo but the rifle is in Like New condition. 9.3x74r, I have a set of 30-06 barrels coming my way.

How do you like it? I almost bought one of those but The Gods decided to blow up my transmission that same week.

I've had the .45 version-P97- for years. Blocky, ugly to some. Dead nuts reliable and way more accurate than they need to be. I expect the same from this one. They are much easier to CC than they appear. IMO Ruger made a mistake when they discontinued the P series guns- and I'm far from alone. Sorry I hijacked the unfired rifle thread!
