Here's more of Adam's handywork - its a press I begged him to make for me. It turned out quite nice. I mounted it on a piece of 3/4" plate with a wedge-type mount to tilt it backwards. This backwards tilt also helps you stand when operating, and helps you mount it close to the edge of the bench.

Thanks again Adam! You do awesome work - worth every penny.

    Anyway, here's some pics:

What will it take to get a copy of the drawings? I'm pretty sure I could get this built.

Sorry guys, I hevent heard back from the gentleman who was supposed to be drawing these up.

There is enough info here to build the press, or even make up a set of plans, I never made up any drawings. Just kind of did it on the fly

Lookin good Chris, great job finishing up the press and really like the mount...

This is my first post but I have been reading off and on trying to learn about swaging. This thread is very interesting. I figured I would try to model the press and create drawings for those that wanted them. Here is what I have so far:

here is a little movie of it in motion:

I will get the drawings zipped up and posted soon. Maybe you guys could look them over and make suggestions on dimensions or design changes.

A couple of things Matt, I ended up bending the handle a little farther, closer to 45 degrees. Helps get the weight past the balance point so the handle will stay in the up position.

With less bend it wants to drop down on its own.

On mine I also milled slots in the toggle arms so they would "key" into the slots milled into the toggle bar.
Probably dont matter too much in the end product if everything is held in position when welded

Here is a pic of the parts

Another thing is the handle, Im not sure If I would drill/tap a hole in the end to attatch it. Seems to me that would weaken it quite a bit as there is the potential to put a lot of pressure on the handle.

I just have a 3/8-16 hole in the side of the toggle and use a set screw to hold the handle in place.

Also you show a 1-12 threaded hole in the top of the ram, that needs to be 7/8-14, at least if youre using Richard Corbin dies. The main thing is the thread needs to work with whatever dies a person plans on using

    Ok, I'll make the changes.

Thanks for the feedback. Alot of the stuff that I put into the model were guesses.

I don't think that the toggle arms need to be keyed. With a good fit up and clamping, they shouldn't move. I like the key on the toggle bar though for alignment and keeping the toggle arms from moving.

    http://mattmorgan.org/cb_press_v2.pdf

    - Arm bent to 45
    - removed shoulder and threaded hole on arm
    - Changed ram thread to 7/8 - 14

That's exactly what I needed , another project . Thanks for putting the effort ino the drawings and scematics . I'm certain that there will be many shooting/reloading widows that are going to be searching out your handle . Blaser.306

Matt you did a great job on the plans, I tried to include eyerything needed in the thread and left a little up to the end user.

When someone makes something like this there are always a few things that get changed to allow for differences in material or tooling, or just someones preference.

Oh, you could have left the shoulder on the arm, I made mine with a shoulder

Here are all the parts and the arm before the increased bend angle
