    pan lubing

Howdy all: I am getting into casting after being away from shooting , reloading and casting for years. I bought some new moulds in .22, .30, .44 and .45 and would like to pan lube instead of using sticks in my lube sizer. I found some good recipes here and would like to try them. my question is, What do you guys use to cut the bullets from the lube (kake Cutter)?

Goatlips, one of our members has some great info on his site. You should be able to do a search here and come up with several good ideas. I used Goatlips method when I pan lubed.

Boolits dont always need to be cut from the lube especially rifle boolits ,What I do is place the boolits in the cake place it in my toaster oven and melt for 20+ min. after the lube solidifies again but is still luke warm I grab the nose with a pair of forcepts or long nose pliers and pull it straight up and out of the cake.I find I can lube 80-100 boolits alot faster this way.
If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck!

Take a look at Castpis/articles by members/ Cast and the 310 tool.

I started out pan lubing 311291s about 50 years ago and sizing with a 310 tool. Pretty easy really but eventually, you'll say, there's got to be abetter way and spring for a lubricator/sizer./beagle
