    need nose riding information

I guess one of my questions is, how do I pick the diameter of the bore riding portion. If the SAMMI diameter is supposed to be .355, (dont have gun yet but will slug it to check) should the nose riding portion be .355", bigger or smaller. thanks

acs, Once you have your rifle, try inserting the bore riding nose into the muzzle (assuming you have those CB's at hand). If they drop in of their own weight, the nose is too small: They should be a press fit into the muzzle and be marked (engraved) by the rifling in the process. That's the quick & dirty way. Slugging the bore from the breech and then from the muzzle is better though.
