Shooting 22's is a great way to relieve tension and enhance your basic shoot skills. I have several and try to shoot them all when I can.

10-22 target rifle with a Fajen stock and Adams barrel.
10-22 Manlicher version with combo laser/holo sight.
Browning Buckmark target pistol with 10" bull barrel and 2x6 Bushnel scope.
    Marlin Plinkster
    Steven Favorite 1915
    Remington pump 1904
    Ruger Single-six

Have a couple rifles and just picked up a .22 pocket gun the other day. Rifles are an Anschutz 1451ST and a pre-WW2 Marlin 81DL bolt gun that feeds & shoots shorts, longs and long rifles interchangeably and even mixed in the tube. Mine has a Williams peep sight on it. The rifle isn't a collectible, but apparently the original Marlin peep sight is. I sold the Marlin peep for what I originally gave for the rifle.

The pocket gun is a cute little Taurus PT-22 with some real nice rosewood grips on it and it came with 2 magazines. Glad I got 2 as the extra mag would have cost about a fourth what I paid for the gun. Gave $125 for it, the mags & a pocket holster.

I have a SAKO quad rifle set and have finally worked out how to adjust the scope. It's off to the range with the four barrels, a heap of 4 kinds of rimfire ammo for some serious sighting in when I get back next week. I will be taking my mate as a spotter, etc to keep me on track.

I really gancy the 17Mach2, but I think the 17HMR and the 22Mag will be the goods. Then I have to sort throught the crud in my shed and office and find the Accurizer I got off Paco a few years ago to play with.

This is one I got in 1973 when I was still in nursing school. It has given me hours of pleasure.

When I'm not casting boolits, teaching reloading or Kansas concealed carry classes, I'm hitting yard sales or watching the local forum for old .22 rifles. So far I haven't paid more than $100 for one and have 2 really decent .22's and just got one yesterday I'm not completely sure of as I haven't fired it yet. It looks good and the bore's in great shape, so a range trip is in order to find out.

The 3 are, in order of acquisition, a Marlin 81DL tube fed Bolt gun, A Romanian model 1969 clip fed bolt gun and the latest is a Springfield model 234 (made by Savage) clip fed bolt gun. The Springfield had it's stock spray painted with some sort of textured camouflage paint, but it doesn't really look too bad and my wife likes it, so if it shoots okay it will probably wind up being her gun (then maybe she'll leave the rest of mine alone - ) Figger the odds on that one - HA!

Thank you! In the last years I have really enjoyed rimfires more and more. I had started out with them in olympic pistol competition a few decades ago and took a detour over action shooting to come back.

    7 of them and a 221
How about a .222? I had collected Mauser military rifles for some time and enjoyed shooting them but this one is just lovely. I am impressed with the Sako Vixen L461, it is a .22 of sorts ...

My father bought me a .22 (Montomery Ward) Westernfield bolt action rifle back in 1970 when I was 17 yrs old. Lost it in 84 when someone broke into my house.

The first gun that ever bought was a Ruger Super SIngle Six revolver that included the mag cylinder in 1974 for $98 Hard to believe that it's already 35 yrs old.

I just bought a Marlin 39A lever action and wish I had done it earlier... sure is a fun little cousin to my Marlin 1895 45-70.
