RCBS has a stainless steel pot, I would consider that a big plus.
Depends on how many bullets you plan to cast. If you cast 4 or 5000 bullets a few times a week then the Magma pot is the answer. On the other hand, casting for your own use, the RCBS pot can't be beat IMHO. Here's a my Magma..................Creeker
Dry Creek Bullet Works
Dry Creek Firewood
its because I cast 500 gr and up and have to fill the pot more often
and to a lot of sniping with sub sonic load with my 30-06
its more the capacity that pulls me toward the magma
I have a rcbs and has you say its hard to beat...
When I bought my promelt I WANTED the Magma, however they were back ordered, and could not give an ETA, so I got the promelt. I have often sort of wished I had the Magma...in the winter time no energy would be wasted because I heat my work area with KW's anyway...but in the summer I suppose there would be some additional KW's wasted for a fairly short casting session.
Both ends WHAT a player
you got a point there
but here in Canada winter is long......
I do my casting inside the pot is inside a wood box with ventilator that is connected to the drain system of the house works great.....
