    Lyman 358429 HP

Received my 2 cav., Lyman 358429 mold this morning from Buckshot. Mine has the square bottom lube groove. He hp'd my mold using a .161 dia. pin. The hp pin goes all the way down to the crimp ring. Bullets drop from the mold at .3585 " Just about ideal for my particular application.

As usual, I'm 101% pleased with Rick's work on this one. I can cast with this one making HP's just about as fast as I can use a conventional ( non - HP ) single cav. mold.

These will be shot in my Marlin 1894 CBC, 38 Spec.

This camera is an Old Minolta Dimage Z - 10 , I keep thinking it will die someday, I've had it 7 or 8 years now. I've taken a " bazillion " photos with this one. Like an old Time-X watch...." Just takes a licking and keeps on ticking ! "

Ben, what do they weigh/what alloy? I have a factory 358439 HP, and it casts right at 158 out of 50/50 ww-Pb, but I have a nice single cav 358429 I have been saving to have HP'd. for a backup. Thanks.

They weigh 156 grs. These are cast of straight ACWW.

Right on the money with mine, considering I have more pure lead in my mix. When I lay my 358439 in my 358429 moulds, they are identical, just one has a hole in the end.. I may have to pack up that extra mould and get it sent off..

Wonderful boolits. I would be interested in any load development you do with them, if you want to post your results.
