    first try at FWFL---pretty sticky!!!???

First time making lube (and shooting home cast bullets!)...FWFL as per instructions.....added some vaseline to improve flow in LAM2.
Seems pretty sticky.....??? Too much lanolin?? normal??
Noticed some lube in revolver chambers and in case mouths after firing......normal??
    Bullets are 429640 GCHP's @ 1225 fps.

    Sounds about right.
Shoot it some, the only true judge is the gun.
If it shoots well then keep using it

The Vaseline will bring out the "sticky" quite a bit. Give the mix a day or two to settle down before appraising it.

Pretty sticky is an understatement. This stuff is incredibly sticky! After lubesizing .358's I can press them on the wall and they stay there. Not that I make a habit of that. I just did up a pile of .463's for the trapdoor and I dusted some with cornstarch just to see how that works. I'm worried they'll stick together when I stack the in boxes for storage. If anyone see's any concern for doing this please let me know. Audie...the Oldfart....

My problem with the batch of FWFL I made was that the lube would stick to other bullets it touched and get pulled out of the lube grooves. I ended up with a bucket of bullets that had lube on the noses, lube on the bases, and several bullets with no lube where it is supposed to be. I managed to get them loaded, but of course I ended with lube in the seating die, lube on the cases etc. I was the messiest loading experience I have ever had. I don't care what the gun thinks of it, if I can't make this stuff stay in place I am not going to continue to use FWFL.

Reduce the vaseline and follow the makers instructions to the letter. If you need better flow in the LAM2 then add heat.

It should be a firm lube that will soften when stretched or worked between your fingers.
