Need recommendation for Glock sights

I just picked up a g20 (10mm) to use for a woods gun. I'd like to replace the factory plastic sights with something a little more sturdy, and holy cow there are a lot of choices. I'd like the sights to offer quick acquisition in case I have to use the gun for bear defense, and also be accurate enough to use for hunting out to 50 yards or so. Night sights are not needed fo my intended use. What have you used with good results?

I put truglo's on most of my handgun. They really gather in light. Most of the time, I use the tritium truglo, but the offer them without the tritium, and you get the option for a different color for the front versus the back.

Red333: the ghost ring sight looks interesting. Are you able to get good accuracy? It looks like they would have fast target acquisition.

They take some getting used to, but yes, they do work well.
And they work well for "one hand" cocking.

One of the very first things you should do on a Glock is replace the plastic sights. I don't know how many I've seen drop their front site. Rears seem to be more durable but the plastic front sight is horrible.

I'd put night sights on it anyway. That way, if your needs change, you're covered. I've seen fiberoptics wash out in direct sunlight, or fail to brighten in heavy shade.

I had one of the plastic front sights break on a g27 I had, so they just put me off a bit.

I have also seen expensive Tricon front sights go flying cause the little nut did not hold. I kind of like the glock sights myself.

My well worn gen3 g17 has worn TruGlo TFO's since day one. They are tritium and fiber optic. They glow at night and during the day. Just wish I shot glocks better. I also like the Wilson and 10-8 paired with Dawson FO.

I looked at the Dawson Precision website and like the looks of their sites. I'm thinking the standard target rear paired with the fiber optic front would work well for me.

I did a standard black adjustable rear and an orange fiber optic front and love it. I like that you can mix and match the front and rear and they provide with all of the technical info you need to make a decision. Very nice quality stuff.

I went to Trijcon Night Sights on my G30. I was un-aware that Glock sights were plastic.....

I went thru a brain Storm and designed a Sight Pusher. After I made it I found one on the Web that was almost identical to what I had came up with.

You don't need adjustable sights on that gun. Fiber optic sights are great in daylight but offer nothing in low light. Of course, plain ole black steel sights work great in daylight too. Gee-whiz gadgets will not make you a better pistol shot. Put some high quality, steel, night sights on it and call it a day. Do it once, do it right and leave it alone.
