How I make my ballistic tip bullets

Here is how I place a plastic tip on my bullets
A short video of how I swage a plastic tip.

Using this method doesn't really lend itself well to expansion. You are putting alot of plastic on the top of the bullet filling any void that is there. I get little expansion unless I strike a hard object.

It took me a little while to figure it out. Trying to figure out how to draw the air soft pellet down to fit. Finally out of frustration i threw into the sizing and wham-o. I got lucky.

As soon as I get the dies for my Mega Mite...I am going to try the glow in the dark air soft BB's. They are supposed to be a bit softer.

42 grain, the tip was an after thought. I think that if I drop the core to 40 or 41 I can get it to point a bit better

Well here is my latest attempt.

They came out great but I broke the punch that I needed to make the rebate so they came up a little under sized.

    Hey Ammosmith!

When you make some tips from glow in the dark airsoft pellets, charge them with a flashlight before you let them fly. You'll have homemade tracers the cheap way! LOL

Let us know how that one works out.
