    help

    I would like to cast 44 at 240 swc ,whatI have been shooting has been at 429 dim should I get a mold at 430 ,431or 432 and then size them to 428 or less?

    You want the finished boolitt to be .002 over groove dia.

    As alluded, you will need to slug your gun to be sure. You want the bullets larger than the cylinder mouths, forcing cone and groove Ideally, the bullets will be .001 over the cylinder mouth, which will be .001 over the groove diameter.

    Bullets will come out of molds in diff diameters depending on alloy & temp casting. Most 44 molds will throw a bullet .429"-.433" depending on those factors. You can then size them to the correct dia. that fits your bore/throats.
