    New guy here

Have been lurking here for quite some time. Some very good information to be had. I have been fooling with sixguns for many years. Do not cast but pretty much just shoot commercial cast bullets.

It seems the members here are down to earth shooters and not some yuppies who have to have the latest plastic semi-auto. I do have one Sig 220 and even that is one of the older models with the folded steel slide.

I am retired and I served in the U.S. Air Force during our involvement in Viet Nam. My wife is a Wyoming native and we spend much time there. Very well may move back there in the near future.

I don't post much but you will hear from me from time to time.

    Regards
    Art

Well roll up your sleeves and grab your self a mould. Consider it reloading but one step better. Casting is sort of like a hobby for reloaders. Every six gun should be feed a healthy diet of home cast. Welcome.

    Art,

Welcome. Read, post often, and enjoy.

    Art;
Welcome to the asylum. We talk CAST BOOLITS here (inside joke).

Seriously, if you shoot a lot, casting your own bullets AND reloading is the only way to go.

Well...I'm something of an oddball for my generation. I like sixguns, specifically the old pinned and recessed S&W's..and I'm casting my own boolits now.

I've got some love(not much though) for the newfangled bottomfeeders too though. 19+1 capacity and a bayonet, what's not to like?

    Machinists do it with precision.

We now have Art in Colorado and we have Scrounger (Art). This place was recently put down big time on another forum because of the way Boolit is spelled. Guess those snobs don't realize we are of high culture---Art collectors.

Welcome to the Cast Boolits website.

Yes, "boolits" is the correct spelling for those who love to pour the silver stream.

I'm in Southern Colorado. I'd feel honored to have you drop by and spend some time casting a few. Coming up soon are some (OK, maybe a few thousand of each) .30-30 170 gn FN and 100 gn TC for .380.

machinesttx: Bet that blade offers hazards in and out of the holster.

Pat: Glad to see the early parole came through for ya.

Art: Glad to have ya. Hope you feel the same when we get done with ya.
Reading can provide limited education because only shooting provides YOUR answers as you tie everything together for THAT gun. The better the gun, the less you have to know / do & the more flexibility you have to achieve success.
