It is about 1/4lb. It is also very hard! I use this type of wax to refinish pipes (the kind you smoke). I called their customer support center for the weight.

$26.00 / pound?? Does that seem steep to anyone besides me? Anyway, it's a lot easier to work with if you buy it in flakes... it seems to melt into the mix more readily!

You would have to buy many cans of JPW to get that much carnauba though. About 4 to 5 cans based on the MSDS

It is hard and brittle. You could probably grind it in a small coffee grinder then dissolve in mineral spirits.

When we were in Michigan this summer we went to Dutch Village. I was walking thru the shops and stopped at the cheese counter. I noticed there was some carnuba wax on the cutting table, so along with my order I asked about it. The guy said they just throw it away! I ended up with about a pound, from the cutting table and the trash can that he retrieved for me.
Tried to get him to ship me the wax but no go.

Keep your eyes open and maybe you can stumbled onto some like I did.

Got to thinking about it and e-mailed them to try to get this shipped to me. We will wait to hear back from them.
