Ok, I admit it. I'm getting CRS. I just got a custom 6 holer in from Kelly Alexander. I paid for it way back in October. My check stub says, "(7mm SC)". What is it? No laughing, please!

7mm Soup Can
It sure looks long compared to a 30 Soup Can. . . .
The nose on this bullet measures about .490" in length compared to .270" on the 7mm Soup Can.
Jr. Does your bullet look like this?
All retired now, just growing tomatoes and building and shooting my guns.
Nope, mine has 3 lube grooves and a much longer nose.
Junior, looks like you and me have the same problem. "Got a good memory, it's just short"

Jr. ya got me -- I dunno what you have or if it is just something maybe confused with one of your other molds. I've gotten to the point I like to write on the mold box (and again on the mold itself) with a sharpie pen real big so I know what's what anymore.
Got me too durn many unmarked custom molds, I do. In unmarked boxes no less.
I DID check to see if I still had my FAT 30 mold (which is a 3 banded bullet in a six banger mold with a long nose to it) but she is still sitting there on my mold shelf, so I didn't ship you my magical FAT 30 mold by mistake. (whew !! I only had the one mold that was magical)
Ya got me -- I dunno .....
You PM'd me that you got it all figured out, but you didn't say what it was, so I will figure that our common disease (oldgunnnutitus) has struck us again with yet another mild attack of BF syndrome and nobody really needs to know all the morbid details anyway.
Best wishes shooting all your new bullets.

It's a bird ..... It's a plane .......... It's ........ I dun know. If I was a lot younger I might know but I have sniffed too many spent cartridges over the years. I have been told the smell of burnt powder will do bad bad bad things to your brain. It is also said to be irreversible. Especially when it is mixed with the remains of lead bullets. I could tell you more but I dun't remember the rest.

The cavities are obviously smaller than my recently acquired 311041 copy custom, so it's surely a 7mm. However, it looks like a 7mm 311041!!! In the next day or three I'll run some lead through it and post the results. If it's indeed a 7mm 311041, I'm gonna be a happy fellow!Originally Posted by Oldfeller

Must be that Louisiana voodoo black majic changes your moulds somehow.

Maybe so, Joe, but let's hope this time it's to the good!
