    LBT GB Poll

Okay guys it is time to choose what the first GB mold is going to be.
Many have posted what they would like to have first so we have narrowed it down to several choices.

Choose one the choices in the poll for the mold you would like to have. If what you would like to see as a GB is not listed, post a note.

The mold with the greatest number of votes will be the first GB. So come on guys, lets get this show on the road!

I have asked Veral if we can mix up GC and PB molds in the same group buy. Hopefully he will get back to me pronto. When he does I will let you guys know.

    UPDATE!!!
I just got another email from Veral and he says that you will be able to choose the weight, GC, PB or BB, Crimp groove length, WFN or LFN, # of grease grooves.
As long as the design and caliber stays the same we will be able to spec all of this out per mold in a GB.

He also asks for a couple of weeks between GB's so he doesnt get backed up.
The only other request he has is no spitzer bullets, flat nose only on the GB's.

I voted for the 44 Mag 300 gr WFN. I would like this one to be a GC mold. I would also be in for a 45 Colt 300 gr WFN if it were a GC mold and the 320 gr LFN GC. The 40 cal 150gr boolit is too light. I might be interested if it were 175-180 gr.

I dont believe that Veral makes HP molds, buit you can have it converted afterward.

I voted for the 0.453" 320gr GC LFN and am posting to mention something not in the poll: I need a nose length of 0.4" I don't know whether like diameter adjustments, this is something Veral can deal with within the group buy.

You will be able to spec out the nose length, crimp groove diameter, LFN or WFN, number of grease grooves, and the weight and GC, PB or BB..

Jeff, that is a lot of flexibility on Veral's part. I didn't see all that in the earlier discussion thread. Looks like that just came in today as the "clarification" you posted.

    Thanks, Ed

I dont know if Veral will do a GB on the lube, all I can do is ask.

And yes this has been a rapidly evolving GB, Veral as added so much flexibility to what choices you can make for a single GB it just may cause me to go nuts..

So basically we are down to deciding on a basic caliber and boolit design with all of the rest being variables.
Much of this is personal preference, but for those that do not know how to figure out the diameter of the bullet to fit your gun I will try to explain.
Revolvers: Measure the front of the cylinder on all 5 or 6 chambers, this is the area called the throat.
    Semi-Auto Pistols: Slug the bore
Single shot pistols like contenders: slug the bore unless you know what the dimensions of the throat is for your barrel.
Rifles: Slug the area of the barrel just ahead of the end of where the case fits.

Veral has slugging kits and I will just have to ask him if we can get a GB on that..

Is voting a commitment to buy? Not everyone may have funds when the time comes.

Well fellows its looking like the 41 cal is going to be the caliber of choice so far...

Many things have evolved since this group buy poll started.. For one Veral made it very simple, the constant is the basic caliber.. The weight, bullet diameter, nose type - LFN or WFN, GC, PB or BB, crimp groove, number of lube grooves can all be specified when you order your mold.

    Here is my plan...
We start the group buy and run it for 2 weeks then close it. We need 10 molds per group buy.
The participants send in the money. Once I receive all of the funds, I will email the order to Veral and then send him a printed copy and the money. He says we should have the molds in 2 weeks. I will box them up and send them USPS to the respective person. The regular protocol of posting the zip codes in the first post will apply.

Shipping for 1-2 molds will hopefully be $4.95. If you order a hardness tester or a book at the same time the shipping will be $10.95 I think due to the larger box.

Once the group buy has closed we will have 2 weeks to select the caliber for the next GB.
2 weeks from the day of the end of the GB we will start a new GB for the caliber selected from the discussion as noted above.

    Have I missed anything Wiljen?

Foreign shipping costs and payment methods, for non US orders paypal works best. Buyer pays the paypal fees.

I'd vote for the 300 gr 45 if it's not a commitment to buy.

I guess that was in the other thread prior to starting the poll and dead threads disapear quickly around here.

    2cavity $100
    4cavity $140
    custom nose punch $8
hardness tester and book are 20% off retail

I will look into the foriegn shipping.
