    35 Rem feeding in a savage 10

Anyone know if the short 35 Rem has feeding issues in a short action savage. I was thinking of a winter project ,I already have 35 rem stuff so it would be nice to stay with it instead of moving up to the 358 win.

..............Don't know about a short Savage action but no problems in one on a small ring Mauser.

Thanks Buckshot that was my second possibility for an action,But for me being lacking the proper tools I figured just screwing a barrel on a savage would be easier and less expensive. Anyone with a SA savage ie: 308/243 ect. want to try feeding a 35 rem shell out of the magazine for me.

    Thanks,Tim

Just tried some reloads with the Remy 200 gr corelocks and fed great slick and easy. Also tried some loaded with Ranch Dog cast and they would not feed, the flat nose hitting the front of the magazine.

Thanks for trying for me , The fact it wont feed a FP gives me pause though,Would hate to be limited to a RN .

    Thanks,Tim

Go over to Savage Shooters, sign up and ask you question. There is as much good information on Savages there as there is for cast here.

I'm currently working on a .35 Rem in on a 110 action that started life as a .30-06. I will possibly need to put a spacer block in the mag and a different front baffel.
