    Anyone reload for .30 Carbine?

I'm getting sick of my ex-acto knife and have been looking into getting some ammo boxes die-cut.

Would anyone else like to have ready to fold 50 rd. lake city type .30 M1 boxes?

Would anyone know where to get any?

Like you, I made my own out of shirt box cardboard. Honestly, It was a 1x job to make about 8 or 10, and I kind of forgot about it.

Ok, so nothing's wrong with plastic, I just happen to have a couple of .30 M1 ammo cans and they don't stack as nicely -- call me anal about it...

I would like to see some of the old ones made that midway used to sell for 45 acp. They held 50 rounds, but in a smaller footprint. I think they were US surplus.

Put a piece of cut out plywwod or craft wood on the bottoms with a thin bit of stick-on non slip rubber matting. If you wanted to get real fancy, you could cut a few interlocking bits for the top of the lid so they stack. Paint them before you attach the rubber. Personally I use them standard and also use sandwich bags for smaller amounts and work up loads, That way you can return the cases to it's labelled bag and have a reallllll good look for pressure signs when you get home.

Alternately, you could fit rubber feet to the bottoms and plywood feet 'recievers' on the top of the lid.

Go to ammo boxes at Midway. Dimensions are listed. Used it to find and appropriate box to store .30-40 Krag ammo boolit up.

I have told this story before on a different thread but it deals with loose rounds in ammo tins.

I took my youngest son and my wife to the range one day and set them up. My son had an ammo can full of loose 9mm reloads and my Norinco 1911 and my wife had an ammo can full of 38 reloads and my Rossi 92.

I was range officer and got busy supervising everything. Some hours later, my son walked up and said 'Jianping is minding the guns, can you come and clear them so that we can remove them from the firing line?' I said 'had enough?' the reply floored me, 'nah, we ran out of ammo.' haha! I must do a count on how many rounds you can put in an ammo can, but I can tell you, it is a lot! haha!

If anyone needs .45 ACP or 9mm Luger cartons, I still have some left over from a run I had made for myself. I sell them, as long as they last, for 30 cents each. These are white fiberboard, diecut, without any printing (make your own labels) and shipped flat. It takes about three seconds to fold in the end flaps and they're ready for use. These are made exactly like the military .45 cartons, and the only difference in the 45 and 9 is the dimensions. Here's a pic. Shipping is by FRB and I can get up to 200 cartons in a box for $12.50 postage. Contact me by PM if you want any of these.
