    Ross Johnson

Ross was a friend since the 70s. He was an outfitter in New Mexico and I worked for him from 95 thru 03 as a guide. He passed just over a year ago at the age of 58, pretty young really. He seemed to be in excellent health especially considering the exercise that he got in those mountains. Just goes to show, that doesn't mean anything. Those seasons spent in NM were some of the best times of my life and I can remember thinking almost every morning treking in with a hunter how lucky I was to do be able to do that.
In the picture Ross is the guy closest with one of his lion hounds, with me on the other side.

Tough to go at that age. My sympathy to his family and friends.
