I'd be interested in a mold like that also.

Lee won't cut two different cavity sizes in one mould. NEI will, but it' alot more money of course.

    Cayoot,

If you decide to sell that 452423, I would be interested in buying it. I want a mold for that bullet...

Thanks Wayne, but nope! I think it is a great winter carry boolit for my 625 PC (which is my cold weather CC gun).

It is a great boolit and the mould works perfect.

That still amazes me…I don’t care who you are or how much I care about you, I would never let you kill my son. I can’t even begin to understand how much He loves us.

All of the Keith series boolits are done except for the 38, which is waiting for a square groove sample from GLL that he posted a picture of.

    45 2.1,

Did you include a .41 in the Keith drawings? Which one? Just a curious .41 fan.

I was hoping to see a heavy (170ish grain) .358 in that list and I was hoping that we would wind up with a heavier boolit than the 424 in .45.....any chance of uping the weight of that thing to 270-280 grains? Or should I wait and try to get that (those?) going in a seperate thread?

    Cayoot,

45 2.1 don't know it yet, but I'm also gonna have him draw up a 310-320 grain .45 for a group buy also. Pretty much match up to the NEI 310-.451, as I do like that boolit in the Ruger. Fits in a Smith, too, just can't go as fast.

So, as 45 2.1 tells me, be patient.

There are plenty of 260 to 280 gr. SWC's available. I hope this will be a 250 gr. 454424 copy as N frames and New Services are still the same size as when Elmer designed it. He said, on page 229 of SIXGUNS, he would have liked wider bands, but pressure concerns limited bullet weight. He even said, on page230 that the hollow point version was better suited to high velocity loadings than 250 gr. solids.

    I'm fairly certain he's refering to the Lyman 452664, a 250gr rnfp.

Yes Sir that's the bullet. The Lyman 452664. The mould I had would cast large enough to size .454. It is a real shooter. Some shy away because of the slight bevel base. I've not found the base of this bullet or the 38 caliber version a problem as with some bullets.

Cayoot I have two 4 cavity #1101 moulds from Ballisti-Cast. I sent them the alloy I used so they might regulate the mould to the weight I requested which was 255 grs. The moulds I received cast the requested weight from 92-6-2. When casting wheel weights from these moulds the bullet weigh 260 grs. Hope this helps.
