    lars liquid lube.....

i bought some of lars liquid lube about 5-6 months ago.
it seemed to work just fine. i just opened it again for the first time since then, and the lube is WAY thicker than it was when i first received it.
any thoughts on why this happened?
    what should i do?
is it ok to use in this very thick form?
    thanks fellas!

    ?

I'm not sure about the thickness happening. I use mineral spirits to thin mime and it works great and coats really evenly.

Give it a try I think you will like the results and it last much longer.

This stuff can be thinned a great deal with mineral spirits, and still give great lubrication.

I am not sure why it happened to that product, but sometimes if a chemical mixture is put in a sealed plastic bottle, some of the solvents leach (osmosis?) through the plastic and evaporate. usually the plastic bottle looks like it has sucked in when that happens.

Its the nature of the beast, the expensive Lee stuff does the same.

Standing the container in some hot water will make it flow better but as been suggested you can cut it withe white spirit.

You should do this anyway as less is more with this stuff, I always cut mine 50/50 and the boolits covering should just be a light golden hue, don't try and fill lube grooves with it.
