Various broken shell extractors work differently. Most have some kind of teeth that slip over the case mouth. Some need a tap with a cleaning rod to open up and grab ahold. I have found that simply pushing an old shotgun brass bore-brush (.410 and 20 gauge brushes work great for the .303 british) into the chamber and giving it a tap with a cleaning rod will dislodge most broken cases. No .303 british shooter should be with out one!

No experience with that brand but did use the broken case remover that came with my 49/56 to remove a broken case from my 303 #5 Jungle. Mark
