    I'm in for an HP.

    45/70 group buy

    Hey y'all;
Hope all is well with you and yours. I am interested in getting a mold for the 45/70. I do not actually have the rifle yet. But, have my heart set on the Marlin 1895 with Ballard rifling, 22" BBl.

Not a lot of experience yet with casting, although have 500lbs of Pb and more in wheel weights along with equipment. Anywho, what would the cost look like. Again, I would have no problem with the purchase before the actual firearm. (Also related to the lack of experience, I do not have a preference yet for GC or non GC. I do like simple tho............

    George

    Sorry for the ramblings...

Been out of town for a while. I don't mind the "hijack", just glad to see we are finally getting somewhere with this mold.
I'm in for a MIHEC DC CRAMER as in post #19 & #50.

I have PM'd "MiHec" and "45 2.1". I think it was stated before that MiHec needs 20 people before he will go ahead and 45 2.1 is happy to provide MiHec with the design.

    8 to go.

    Question

I am interested in this design as a Hollow Point with a Gas Check.

Do I remember MiHec offering to do his moulds in both plain base and gas check, your choice. Or am I thinking of someone else, or maybe a special situation.

I would really like to have this, but I'm pretty well covered for plain base in light to medium weight 45/70 designs. I'm looking for something to shoot with smokeless at 1,800 to 2,000 fps in the Siamese especially, and the 1885, too.
    Regards,

    WE

Hey mate, I'm going to try and push these at the 1800-2000fps with soft gas checks.

I'll PM MiHec and ask if he is willing to do these in both GC and with out GC but I dont think the others will be interested if it ups the cost over all. The others can feel free to correct me.

I'd be up for one but ONLY WITH A GC

I already have a Lyman "Gould" PB which I cast from air cooled WW's that does a fine job on whitetails .

Now I would like a nice 330-350 grain GAS CHECK dual cavity HP mold .

I read somewhere that Mila can gc and non-gc cavities in the same group buy. BUT, this has to be double-checked.

OK, I've been slack. I know I said I would do this a couple of posts ago but I just PM'd MiHec to see if he can do a PB and GC in the same group buy.

We'll just have to wait for a response. Hopfully wee might hit 20 sooner if we can have both.

    Awsome New

Miha (AKA MiHec) can do this mould in either PB or GC in the same group buy so if you were holding of because you wanted a GC go for it now and add your name to the list.
