RCBS molds

Yesterday and today did some casting and lubeing with a couple of my RCBS molds. I just love RCBS products and any body who knows me knows when cut I bleed RCBS Green. I cast 336 boolits with the 44-250-K and 334 with the 45-255-KT. pre heated the molds and kept the very first one dropped from the molds, by the way these are molds I have had and used quite a bit, I lubed most of the 45's last night and finshed up them and the 44's this morning out of the 45's I had 5 culls and out of the 44's only 2 that is down under 1% reject rate. And a couple of those were because I cut the sprue and pulled some of the base center the others were rounded bases probley also my fault. Good molds make good boolits and RCBS makes good molds. Both of these molds have never been fussy and I've never had to do any thing to them besides a little lube and preheat and go. hooray for RCBS Dennis

I've had several RCBS molds and each one has been a dream to cast with once broken in!

My favorite 357 boolit is the RCBS 357 150 GR SWC. Anybody that casts for a 357 and has not tried this boolit is missing the boat!

I only have a couple RCBS moulds. A 6.5 and a 7mm. Both put out some really fine bullets. Unfortunately they don't shoot well in the guns I have for them by now fault of the mould. But some day I will probably have a gun they fit well.

Too bad that they don't make say... a 4 banger, course I would settle for a sixer.

I have a half dozen or so of the RCBS molds and yes, they run great. But then any steel mold does, right from the start- to the finish.

I mostly shoot 38 Spl, my favorite mold or boolits style is the RCBS 38-150-SWC shown below. The Marlin 1894 has kinda taken a liken to them too.

Sure, it takes a while to make a pile of 'em but hey, I get as much satisfaction from casting as any other aspect.

I've never owned an RCBS mould. No reason to doubt you on the quality, I've owned a BUNCH of RCBS reloading products and all were excellent.

And they are pretty much guaranteed forever!!!!!!!!

Only reason I don't own more RCBS molds is the fact that they don't make them in 4 or more cavities. Not a real problem in rifle calibers, but a real problem for handgun calibers. Good designs, good products, just not enough holes in them!

Eugne, Yes all of the steel moulds work good for me.
I would rather have a steel mould over a alum. one.
