    Winchester lever takedowns.

The take down procedure is to open the action; flip the small lever on the end of the magazine tube out; use this to unscrew the magazine tube. Once the magazine tube is screwed out, turn the barrel assembly counter clockwise 1/4 turn. Done!

    P.S. Empty magazine first!!!

The first step is to get it away from your friend and into your hands......./beagle

Tx nailed it, and so did Beagle. What a find!
I don't paint bullets. I like Black Rifle Coffee. Sacred cows are always fair game. California is to the United States what Syria is to Russia and North Korea is to China/South Korea/Japan--a Hermit Kingdom detached from the real world and led by delusional maniacs, an economic and social basket case sustained by "foreign" aid so as to not lose military bases.

    Wow, Wow, WOW!

What a find!!! Never seen a takedown--

Hope you shoot that baby and enjoy it!

I've had a BROWNING copy of the Model 53 in 32wcf for about 20 years now-- excellent little small game and target gun-
Won $200 at the Lodi VFW turkey shoot many years ago with factory 100gr lead loads- velocity was so low you could hear the bullet strike paper at 100yds!
Put a Lyman receiver sight on it, and it shoots 3/4" groups all day long at 50yds with its favorite load of 6.5gr Old Unique and RCBS 98gr PB SWC. Excellent little hunting load that is accurate-
You can use the Speer 100gr JHP (32cal) as well, but this is a CAST BULLET ROUND- so use it that way!
Please enjoy your find, and don't lock it away---

    Sounds like a neat gun.

I am starting to reload for a 32-20 (32 wcf) winny but mine is suggested to only reload with Black powder on several websearches but I suspect small loads of slow pistol powder at 1200 fps may be ok.

358, are you from Lodi? and where did you shoot, ione?

I have lived north of Lodi since 1975.
