    Messy Lube

I'm using Lyman Moly lube in an old RCBS sizer. It sure is messy. Is there a cleaner...maybe harder lube I should try?

    So far, I've sized/lubed .40 and .45's...

Yep, the stuff is messy. I now use Jake's lube (http://www.jakesproducts.com/index.html). I mix one stick of his Purple Ceresin with half a stick of his 50/50. Works in 6.5 mm up to .45 caliber.

You may need to heat it a bit, though, depending on the temperature. I use a clamp-on lamp with a 60-watt bulb. A search will bring up other lube heating methods.

Mebbe melt some beeswax in with it to stiffen it up some. Some use parafin but I stay away from it.

Give Lars carnauba red a try. I use it in a star without a heater but I do have to use a hair dryer to get started. RB

Feelix lube does fine for me. Just hard enough so as not to be sticky but just soft enough to run through the lube sizer without a heat source.

I'll be glad to get back to the Feelix. I got a bunch of 50/50 lube free some time ago and I've been going through that. Works fine but a little too soft for the hot months especially.
