First shots with a new rifle

These were taken about six weeks ago. I had just finished rebarreling a friends Ruger #1 to 470 Nitro, as you can see it's not blued. He had just finished making up some practice bullets by sizing down 45 acp cases and crimping a cast 45-70 bullet in them as the core. We each shot five rounds as that is all the ammunition he had loaded. It was just getting interesting and we had to quit. We're waiting for better weather, it's snowing again today, so we can shoot it from the bench and see how well the rifle and bullets shoot.
