So a double cavity MiHec mould that comes with the top punch? Sounds great to me.

If you’re serious about getting one of these molds, please go to the poll thread and choose the boolit designs that interest you. http://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?t=53235

Something to look at and it will really expands in a 44 Special.
I really liked the rnfp that 45 2.1 originally posted.

That was the 434640 version. There is a ~196 gr. HP RNFP version also. Truth be know, any of my HP versions are devastating at 1000 fps. They produce large temporary expansion cavities in clay down to 800 fps easily cast out of a good softer alloy. At 1400 fps in soft alloy, all you might recover is the base band. They're made for the mild big bore cartridges to get performance you won't believe.................

You used to work for RBCD, didn't you. You designed them Blended-Metal Technology Bullets!

Guys count me in. This is just what I need for my 3" .44Spl. Rossi. Although I wouldn't mind the HP version a bit heavier, say closer to 200gr. My .44Spl is strictly for 2 legged critters.

I cast my vote on the poll, so with any luck we can get this one rolling...

Hate to be different but I would prefer the one in post #3, version 434640.

I'm with you, Hicard. Never saw the advantage of a SWC in a rifle. Sure don't feed better.

You fellas wanting a rifle mold need to look around, there are 3 active threads. Check this one: http://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?t=52712
    That's a rifle boolits.

This is a revolver design primarily. One for getting the most out of Kuato's Rossi, my 696 and similar (although I do intend to explode some groundhogs with it from my .44 magnum).

    Thumbs up

I really like this one! I voted for it, and a couple others, in the poll.

I think my 3" Bulldog, which is just for the 2 legged variety of varmint, should be a ***** cat to shoot with this light weight. And the 4" S&W should be a lot of fun in "field" conditions.

Do we have any time lines?
    Regards,

    WE

just a question for 45 2.1. Any suggestions on casting (hard/ soft , bhn level that is best) or special loading tips?

This depends on the velocity your going to shoot it at. For light low velocity work, try 30:1 lead/tin. For 800 to 900 fps, try 50%/50% WW/pure lead air cooled. For 1000 fps or more, try the previous alloy water dropped.
