    Lyman Super Moly

With all the talk about how moly coated copper jacketed bullets might contribute to bore corrosion, I'm curious how that applies to Lyman's Supe Moly bullet lube.
Because of the moly content, I'm wondering if there are special cleaning considerations or if anyone has noticed any barrel problems. After searching some threads on this stuff, it seems that it performs well albeit a little messy. Thanks.

    Lightbulb A Moly Fan!

    Hello LittleDog,
Big Dog here; no, just kidding.

I love Lyman's MolyLube; using it a lot. And, my barrels appear to love it also. I shoot/cast/reload everything from 357 to 50-70. I've tried a lot of lubes; Lyman's is right up there with the best of them IMO. It's a little pricey though. I always buy it when on sale at Midway's.

I also have Lyman's Moly coating kit for cast bullets. It's another fine product. The moly powder is just plain expensive however. I still lube them after first resizing all my bullets without lubing; moly tumbling. Too many steps, but works great.

    Enjoy the hunt!

Bought a bunch when it was on sale at Midway a few years back. It does the job, but it is sticky and will pull out of the lube grooves if you box up your lubed bullets.
You can miss fast & you can miss a lot, but only hits count.

Only thing I ever used Lyman's moly lube for was as a mold release!

For that it had no equal! Done properly it also never came off!

They must have the first lube made. I have and OLD 535 sizer and it was made in the 20s Had the moly lube in it still soft and slick
