    old saeco lubrisizer

I have just purchased a old saeco lubrisizer, but no instructions. I emailed Redding and they said their top punches and dies will fit. They did send instructions, but of little help. What I need is instructions on how to remove the old die and install the new one. Thanks

Hoop, I just purchased a used one this weekend. It needed serious cleaning so I went at it. Loosen the knurled ring and pull out the die. It won't come out you say. You'll need heat to melt the old lube, from a heat gun or maybe a hair drier. But that's how it's done...Ray

Yes if the old lube isn't gluing it in there. You'll probably need heat...Ray

Thanks, I'll try heating. How are you cleaning out the main cylinder?

I used the heat gun. Take out the plunger first though. Once the die is out there's a good size hole in the casting that the melted lube will flow out through. Likewise you could totally dismantle everything on the luber a boil the carcass. Don't use the wife's good pans for this...Ray

Thanks much. I am completely new to casting bullets. Have reloaded for over 30 years, but never casted.

That struck me so funny that I almost fell off my chair. Don't DO that.
