What Old Classic mould would you like to see?

Are there any old classic moulds that you would like to see come back?
    Lyman, Ideal, RCBS.....................Any make.
Help me make a list and start to look for samples.
    Will cover postage for samples.
Maybe we can bring some of them back!

    Good start!

311407 180Gr. flat nose bullet with Leverin type grooves and a gas check.
429421 245Gr. Designed by Elmer Keith.
225107 37Gr. Flat nose with a gas check - great hornet bullet?
    Old RCBS 30-170-FN - great 30-30 bullet?

Now can we find samples to make drawings from?
    Does any one have dimensions?

Lyman 454190 that casts 456 in WW alloy, like the older ones did and the new ones don't, in 4 cavity blocks

    Some of the old Lyman 30 caliber loverins (311465, 311466, 311467, 311407).

This is a little different but I'd like to see the Lee hollow point moulds come back. Regular hollow point are kind of a pain in the you know what to do and I did manage to pick up a couple lee HP moulds. The HP is attached to the handles so it makes it so much easier to do it's almost a pleasure to do!

    Molds to bring back

There are numerous molds that Lyman discontinued for reasons unknown. Some good ones are already listed above. I would strongly suggest #311334 with as-cast dimensions around .309-.310 in the body and .301-.302 in the nose section. It was/is a great performer in 03-A3 2 groove barrels and 1917 5 groovers. Many good moulds have already been listed, but for the .35 Whelen shooters I would like to see the DC 358009 brought out again.
I have one, but everybody, and their cousin, that owns a .35 caliber rifle seems to want to buy this mould, or borrow mine.
I have also seen prices on existing 358009 bordering on the totally ridiculous due to the rarity of this mould, which somehow seems unfair to those in real need but without the means.

Just kinda thinking out loud, I suspect.

The Lyman .45 Colt (and .45 Auto Rim) Keith bullet 452424 is no longer produced in a four cavity mould (it is still available in two cavity). I sure wish
Lyman would see their way clear to again produce this very fine and well proven mould in four cavity.

I'd really like the Modern Bond 358582 and 358627. A really cool looking wadcutter that would be a fantastic short range thumper!

358009, but more importantly I'd like to see the old practice of HPing or shrtening a mould brought back. A 358009 at 280 gr might me too much of a good thing. Lower the weight to 240ish but keep the profile and it might be perfect. And they'd be FAT!!! No more of this .357 when you need .360 or .430 when you need .433.

I'd also like to see all the Loverin designs brought back, especially the FN ones. And I'd like to see the Cramer line returned and multiple designs in one block.

I'll second the .338 molds. There is just about NO selection for .338 molds. I have the Lee .338 mold and that is it. The ones I have seen that occasionaly come up on auction or for sale are either too high priced for my blood or gone before I knew they were for sale.

Original Keith bullets 358429,41059,429421,454424 in 4 cavity blocks with wide full diameter front driving bands, and same in hollow point singles. How about an anniversary pack ?

    In rifle, 310440, 35809, and 462540.

Lastly, customer service from Lyman like it was in the old days when any bullet mold would be HP'ed on request.

Forgot the old style 358477. I just love those sexy curves on that bullet.

    My Vote for.....

    357156 HP..

I have the solid version, sure would like to get a HP. The one I used was a loaner and I about cried when I had to give it back.

    Good Casting,
