    TL358-86-DEWC Group Buy Starts Here

This buy will be for the six cavity boolit mold specified in the title above and as described in the feeder thread here: http://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?t=42549. Note that the diameter will be specified as .358" when cast from wheel weight metal.

The price will be $65 each shipped to CONUS with a $5 per mold shipping discount for extra mold(s) going to the same address. Molds going to other areas will be quoted on a case-by-case basis. The price is predicated on reaching a quantity of 25 molds to avoid the $100 set-up charge. I'm going to set a tentative closure at the end of February or when we get to twenty-five molds. In either event there will be a "Last Call" to give ample time to get your money mailed in. PayPal is available - but add $5 to cover the fees. Personal checks from domestic buyers are just fine. Questions via PM will be answered as soon as possible. I will post the date that Lee cashes my check - figure about eight months to get the molds back after that date. Maybe by next Christmas?

If it ain't metal, single stack, and single action, it ain't a 1911 no matter what it looks like!!

I really like this design as well. I'm in for one for sure, maybe 2 if my old man wants one (I'll ask tonight). I'll send out payment tomorrow. Really think that it will be cool as a double stacker, if length does not prohibit it from being used this way.

I think it will be just fine. It'll limit the powder space a bit - but the faster powders should be OK. I'm gonna try a triple in the 357 max rifle - just for the hell of it.

    Hi Jim,

    I'm in for one (1).

I need your full name and address so I can send the money via WesternUnion.

I've done it before and it worked out OK. You can pick up the money in ANY WesternUnion office in the world. I suspect one is in your local WallyWorld.

    Sincerely,

    Ryan

Funds incoming for 1. Tried to get my dad and another guy in town in, but both are wavering right now. If either of them change their mind I'll send some more funds out.

I posted in the thread about this mold that I was interested. And I later said I didn't want to do LEE molds due to time and quality issues. I will get in on this group buy if you get close to the 25 # to help make it happen. I'd really like the mold its mainly the LEE part that is a problem. I just buy the 6 cavity molds in stock at midway midsouth etc... PM me if you get close and need a few more participants I'll be working out of town and just checking email, probably not online much.

That's a very generous offer, and thank you. In this case it won't be necessary because I've already decided to just send the extra funds myself - I want this mold! Everybody else will get the mold at the $65 price, as if we had 25 buyers (which I'm pretty sure won't happen). I won't buy any extra molds, so if you want one you'll need to have your money in by the end of February.

    Short Wadcutter experiment

I sent Buckshot a 6 cavity Lee mold of the 38 TL wadcutter and asked him to cut it down as much as possible. The result is an 87 grain boollit that should be very similar to this group buy.

I call it the Mushroom Can.

I shot some last night out of my various snub guns loaded with 2.7 grains of Clays.

Seems to be fine for what I want it for, a short range indoor boolit that is miserly on lead.

Looks Good! Have you tried double stacking?

No I haven't done any double stacking. I only wanted it for a short range indoor plinker to use a small amount of lead.

Hi there. I am a longtime lurker interested in the GB.

    Two questions:

    (1) What powder weight would you try with this bullet if you were using Bullseye or W231/HP38?

    (2) When do you anticipate the mould would be delivered?

    Changes

    This buy is closed.

Sorry for bailing out, but I think it's best.

Just "failed" the stress test, and then had it confirmed by an Angiogram. I had a heart attack a little while back (and didn't realize it). May live another 20 years - but no guarantees - and don't want the added complications of running another Group Buy. If I'm not around, I've already received a solid agreement from both my wife and son to ensure that the two other Group Buys that I've got open are mailed out to the subscribers when the molds arrive. However, it's an imposition to expect them to cover another one when it hasn't been sent off yet. I still want this mold, so I hope someone else wants to re-start this GB.

I will either mail back your checks or tear them up, as you wish. Money Orders can be returned or cashed and a check mailed back, as you wish. Please send a PM.

    Good luck to you Jim.
Take it easy and have some fun!
No rush for the other GB`s for me when they come in.
Thanks for your time and effort for what you have done for us.
    Regards,
    Tony

Jim PM'd me OK to take over seeing if there is enough interest here for a group buy. I'd already sent him my check.

If you are seriously interested in this mold, PM me. If we get enough interest, I'll honcho a group buy for it. I want one.
