    Yeah, I'm a young pup. So don't be makin' fun. First one is of me and my assigned weapon while at a undisclosed location in the mountains of one of the middle-east countries. The second is from on top of a really tall mountain that we climbed without ropes. But thankfully we weren't wearing IBA either.

    The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

    JDGabbard, actually that was the only rotation that we did in a 'conventional' role. If I remember correctly we provided aviation support for the 45 Inf Bde. All other rotations, and there were many at both Chaffee and Polk, were all SO.

    That's a great pic.

    When I was over in Siagon in the late 90's, those clever little rascals had recreated all the old military Zippo lighters from the war time period.

    Very hard to tell their knock offs from the originals.

    I stopped in there this winter when i was drilling an oil well about 30 miles outside of town.

    Yep and the folks were friendly too! As soon as we walked in the front door, the prettiest woman behind the counter said hello and asked if she could help us.
