Larry; you are one lucky dog, an old ram and an old goat in the same picture! Just kidding, nice ram.

I shot him with an '06 that was built on a M98 action by Churchill Arms. I bought the rifle from a buddy for $75 in a divorce deal in the late '70s. I rebedded it in a Bell & Carlson stock. Rifle has a very reliable redfield 3x9 AccuTrac scope on it. I was using a 180 gr hornady SPBT right at 2700 fps, 246 yards (rangefinder) with one shot. That has been my favirite hunting rifle for many years and I've taken numerous elk, caribou, deer, coyotes etc. with it. Unfortuneately the throat is getting very rough from shovelling all the IMR4350 down it over the years and accuracy is falling off. I am looking at a rebarrel and thinking of a 26" barrel with 14" twist in '06 with a tight neck for a strictly cast bullet hunting '06.

    Nice elk swheeler.

There you have it. Riding the Triumph motorcycle up in the cool mountains, hanging out with my dog and generally enjoying the remaining golden years of my life. Gotta love the weather in Vegas. Eight great months 10/15 to 5/15 AND THEN FIVE MONTHS OF HELL 5/15 THRU 10/15.

However there are a lot of range days to shoot and when it gets too hot to go shooting I can cast and smelt in my swamp cooled shed next to the trailer.

I AM OFFICIALLY WHITE TRAILER TRASH NOW!

I'll be a nice to you as you'll let me be, or as mean as you make me be.

The first picture is from1965, I had just turned 15 and shot my first deer. The second one is from 2001 with my first black powder deer. If you want to picture me now I'm about 20 pounds heavier and my hair is 50% gray.
