    updated shot

I figure some updated photos should be appropriate.

The first photo was from last Saturday night when I took my wife to the local USO Big Band Dance to mark Armed Forces Week here in the States.

The Second photo was taken in Afghanistan last year...Yes that is an old 1911 Tanker's Rig I am wearing for my Beretta. Its a nicer rig than the kydex stuff the kids play around with. Nothing beats a good leather holster.

Now I know who to have rewire my lead pot when it is needed!
The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

Forget everything you know about loading jacketed bullets. This is a whole new ball game!

I'd be up for that, especially when it cools off for the week or so between summers.

Yeah, that week right before regular rifle season opens, after the second or third cool front has finally pushed out the high-pressure dome for a month or two would be good.

The problem with Texas get-togethers has always been distance. Char-Gar and DLCTX are right at 15 hours drive apart, and the state's even bigger east-west. I'm six hours drive from Ft Worth, a little more to Dallas.

I'm in. Hill country would be nice but hard to get any reservations. I'll add my ugly mug. This old guy can still climb mountains, well, almost.

An update, as my latest on here are several years old. This was taken at a shoot a couple weekends ago.

    After hours.....
