My boat--I gave it up during my (amicable) divorce. I took the kids, he took the Bayliner. Now I fish from the pier but I've got some mighty fine catfish using KFC skin for bait. Yes, I do scale and gut them myself and get the pooper out, too.

I HAVE taught my youngest to always keep one in the pipe, though, and she's pretty good for a little kid. She comes through with some pretty impressive groupings.

I can surely see this is a man's board so I'll mainly educate myself by reading the posts here. I've still got 4 weeks of sick leave left to go and I'm gonna use that time well.

There are two theories to arguing with a woman .. . Neither works.

Women always say that giving birth is way more painful than a guy getting kicked in the nuts. There is no way to prove that they are wrong.

But a year or so after giving birth a woman will often say "It would be nice to have another child".

You never hear a guy say, "It would be nice to get kicked in the nuts again".

Facial hair is optional not mandatory.

Lack of ability to grow facial hair is a syptom of severe lead poisoning so we like to keep a running tab on the situation. Like can ya imagine if all of a sudden after 3 years you tried to grow a beard and found out ya couldnt,he11 you would know ya poisoned yerself but ya wouldnt know for how long,1,2,or all 3 years, but if you keep a running meter on it then ya know. They say symptom two is having thoughts that are way out there, so if any of what I just said is sensible to you , bro you is well screwed

The kudu measured 49.5". One shot with 7x57 at about 125 yds. What an amazing
    animal.

They amazed the heck out of me! The kudu is the animal that captivated my imagination back
when I thought you had to be rich to hunt in Africa. I was absolutely amazed to find out
what the real costs were if you only hunted plains game.

That's my better half behind me with another huge grin. She was having a wonderful time,
    too.

"The prohibition is general. No clause in the Constitution could by any rule of construction be conceived to give to Congress a power to disarm the people. Such a flagitious attempt could only be made under some general pretense by a state legislature. But if in any blind pursuit of inordinate power, either should attempt it, this amendment may be appealed to as a restraint on both." [William Rawle, A View of the Constitution 125-6 (2nd ed. 1829)

    Mr. and Mrs.Geargnasher

Gear wanted me to post a picture of us since I seem to have a bad habit of hiding all of them so I figured I'd make it my first post here on the forum. This picture was taken in Colorado on Independence Pass. Don't ask why I was wearing shorts....really was not one of my brightest moments.

Obviously, Gear is on the left and I'm on the right.

Uh, wow man. What do you look like before?
The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.
John Taylor - "African Rifles and Cartridges"

Forget everything you know about loading jacketed bullets. This is a whole new ball game!
